Residents of Ajibawo village, a suburb of Ogun state, were stunned on Friday, July 22, when officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) acted on a tip-off to rescue the lad from his father, Francis Taiwo.
Several reports had it that the boy was chained by the shepherd of the Celestial Church of God, Key of Joy Parish over allegations that he stole a meat from the pot.
The prophet, in his confession to security men, stated also, that he took the action because the boy was possessed by an evil spirit which makes him to steal. “He needs deliverance,” the pastor added.
But during a visit to the deserted community on Tuesday, GINJALAND.com correspondents discovered that the people in the area were shocked by the findings by the security operatives.
The road to the church suggested that the place was not safe to inhabit people, especially because it was almost deep inside an undeveloped area. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter ccc photo (1) A well discovered inside the church premises during the visit by GINJALAND.com.
